Aware of the fact that a vast majority of young people in the Northeast express a great level of indifference as regards their role(s) in the current crisis of insurgency and terrorism in this part of Nigeria, BRAVE IT work with experts to create platforms where young people are trained, empowered, and helped to discover their responsibilities in the fight against violent extremism, insurgency, and terrorism.

Furthermore, BRAVE IT works with critical stakeholders, youth leaders, influencers and religious leaders to engage the proponents and forces behind banditry with a view to preventing unforeseen calamities like loss of lives and kidnapping.

BRAVE IT believes that the Armed Forces and not just the Army needs the total support and goodwill of all Nigerians as they strive to safeguard the territorial integrity of Nigerians.

1. Reinforcing the Civil Society Framework Against Violent Extremism and Radicalization by:

– enhancing effective counter extremism engagements within the community.

– promoting effective activism and campaigns against extremists.

2. Prevention and Reduction of Extremist Violence and Hate Speech Through Concrete Measures by:

– strengthening the role of youth associations or organizations in countering violent extremism

– promoting the role of gender dimensions in countering violent extremism and hate speech.
