  • Train the youth to become internet savvy so as to scale-up support in the fight against violent extremism, insurgency and terrorism in the Northeast.
  • Setting up mobile or immobile learning facilities where the youth will have access to counter-insurgency/terrorism information.
  • Work with the youth and other experts to establish an alternative narrative that will counter the fast-spreading terrorist propaganda in the Northeast.
  • Tackle complacency on the part of the youth in the fight against terrorism and to surmount any attempt to radicalize them.
  • Build self-driven youth, motivated by the desire to feel responsible for the restoration of peace and stability in their communities.
  • Provide support for the Military as well as for relevant State actors towards the restoration of peace and stability in the Northeast
  • Promote the culture of ‘if you see it, say it’, among the youth in the bid to counter violent extremism, insurgency, and terrorism.

Within the global CVE agenda, BRAVE IT places specific focus on the following items due to challenges northeast region of Nigeria faces. These agenda items are:

  1. Challenging Traditional Thinking
  2. The Promotion of Moderate Religious Views and Religious Tolerance
  3. Empowering Women and Youth
  4. Strengthening the Counter-Narrative of Violent Extremist Messages through Creative and Innovative Media Strategies
  5. Conducting in-depth Research to Identify Local Grievances and Drivers for Radicalization
  6. Building the Civilian Criminal Justice Capacity KFP’s CVE and Conflict Management Related Projects.
  7. Partnering with other organizations and government agencies to build peace.
